Job description

Freelance, part time (50%)

We are a fast-growing, global content agency that delivers audience-led content to help brands connect with their audiences. We work with global brands and organisations including Unilever, Campari, Sanofi, and many others.

We are looking for a dynamic part-time English/French bilingual Content Editor role at Greenpark, based in Canada. This is a dedicated content role with the primary objective of maximising website traffic and brand awareness for an FMCG in Canada. This is a remote role, located in Canada and managed from the USA and London.

A performance mindset and the ability to own a project end-to-end are essential. This role will work closely with our search and performance team to support the content needs of a leading multi-brand FMCG. It's an opportunity for the right person to make the role their own- becoming an essential partner to the client, with a deep understanding of their business, products, and audiences. A desire to collaborate with international teams, along with strong skills in organisation, workflow management, and process, are also key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to an exciting always-on content project focused on driving traffic and brand awareness for a large FMCG in Canada.
  • Collaborate with our SEO performance team to identify opportunities to optimise, rewrite, and transcreate copy to drive web traffic.
  • Audit existing content sites across the globe to identify material for transcreation and localisation for a Canadian audience in both English and French.
  • Work closely with brand teams to align content with their priorities and manage the workflow of copy through revisions and sign-off.
  • Manage a content calendar and tracker to ensure output and project goals are being met.
  • Audit existing web content to improve quality and performance.
  • Optimise existing copy using briefs from the SEO team to boost performance in Canada.
  • Localise content for a Canadian audience, taking into account language, grammar, and cultural nuance.
  • Transcreate English content into Canadian French and optimise it for search.
  • Edit and proofread articles for clarity, grammar, and style, ensuring consistency in tone and voice across all content.
  • Fact-check and ensure all content meets editorial standards and aligns with brand tone of voice (TOV).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of digital editing experience.
  • Solid understanding of SEO and KPIs related to organic traffic success. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Semrush, and AdWords tools. Must have experience working closely with SEO teams.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong experience working with external clients and managing communication lines.
  • Native English and French speaker and writer, with experience in translation and transcreation from English to French.
  • Strong sub-editing experience, preferably with a focus on SEO-optimised copy.
  • Experience working with brand teams and maintaining client contact.
  • Inbound marketing expertise (content marketing and SEO).
  • Preference for candidates with experience in the personal care and health and wellbeing sectors.
  • Ability to work across channels, including web and social.
  • Strong project management and workflow experience.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

You must be:

  • An entrepreneurial self-starter who is excited about building major projects from the ground up.
  • Hands-on and willing to engage in every stage of the content creation process.
  • An inspiring mentor to your team.
  • Comfortable working in a global company and liaising across different time zones.
