As a Powertrain Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the calibration, validation, and development of conventional and hybrid powertrain systems. You will work on engine, after treatment, and hybrid control systems, ensuring compliance with emissions regulations and performance targets. This role involves extensive testing on chassis and engine dynamometers, as well as in-vehicle validation. You will collaborate with global engineering teams to enhance powertrain efficiency, emissions compliance, and system reliability.


Engagement Details:

  • Length: 12 months contract with possible extension
  • Allocation: 100%, full-time
  • Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or Danang
  • Start date: April

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, and setup of powertrain test systems, including combustion engine and hybrid configurations.
  • Plan and execute engine and after-treatment system testing on chassis and engine dynamometers.
  • Perform data analysis, identify performance trends, and support issue resolution.
  • Conduct calibration and validation of electronic control unit parameters to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Manage test vehicle and powertrain hardware inventory, ensuring efficient logistics and testing readiness.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in engine, vehicle, or powertrain testing.
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, combustion processes, and aftertreatment systems.
  • Experience with calibration tools such as ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, Vector CANape/CANalyzer, MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced development environments.
