Responsibilities
As a Business System Manager / Data Engineer, you are responsible for turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. And you’re up for the challenge.
Fully remote position - Central Time Zone preferred
MUST HAVE advanced skillset in PowerBI and Power Query
In addition, you will:
Manage daily operations, support, training, maintenance, and validation areas of our data warehousing and analytics tools, specifically PowerBI and Power Query
Design and maintain solutions for data ingestion and transformation for use in unified reporting
Develop and maintain documentation for designs and implementations, and provide training to peers and end-users as required
Provide expertise in designing queries and reports that provide actionable business insights
Interface with the customer to ensure deliverables are met
Monitor, validate, design, and develop automation scripts
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
Engage with local markets and/or process managers to aid in the definition and/or development of new process improvement opportunities
Work with other business units within the company to identify requirements needed for software and/or experimental designs
Participate in group meetings as a subject matter expert
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
About You:
You Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field
You have exemplary problem-solving skills
Works well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow-through skills
Preferred experience in programming languages such as SQL, Python, Spark/Scala, R, and C#
Advanced experience with data reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Power Query and Tableau (REQUIRED)
Willingness and strong confidence in ability to learn new technical skills, adaptability to new programming languages and technical frameworks
Solid written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with high-level leaders in the organization to facilitate accurate business decisions with qualitative analysis
Solid ability to provide excellent customer service and establish and maintain credibility and interpersonal relationships with a diverse group of individuals (e.g., business leaders, colleagues, and staff at all levels)
Ability to work remotely in a quiet, dedicated office space with reliable internet connection
