Job Description
Position: Technical Tendering Specialist
Location: Bogota, Colombia
Education Recommendations: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or Electric Engineering, or a related field with an accredited school in Colombia.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As part of the team, you will perform:
- Fixed networks architecture and dimensioning, i.e., understand customer requirements and put together a solution (including amount and configuration of each equipment, solution, etc).
- Profitability analysis – after getting the cost of the solution, determine a price as well as its profitability in order to understand a viable price point for Nokia.
- Developing and implementing Business / commercial strategy – define and discuss with Commercial Team the plan and price to win the bid, beating competition.
- Technical clarifications – answer customer questions related to the functionalities included in the equipment / services that compose the solution.
Key Skills And Experience
- Ability to work in a virtual team; (geographically spread among LAT countries).
- Languages: fluent in English and Spanish.
- MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Experience in pre-sales within Telecom industry.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Consistent understanding of how the organization generates profit and manages cost.
- Global understanding of the Telecom industry (terminology, practices, concepts, requirements, competition and regulatory environment).
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally & in writing).
- Powerful presentation skills.
