Ciklum is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our team full-time in India.

About the role:

As a Manual QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

We are seeking a skilled Manual QA API Test Engineer with a strong focus on testing cloud-based applications involving AWS API Gateway and EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). The role requires extensive experience in testing microservices

architectures deployed on AWS, validating API Gateway integrations, and ensuring seamless deployments within EKS environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans for validating APIs exposed via AWS API Gateway, ensuring they meet performance, functionality, and security requirements
  • Perform end-to-end testing of microservices running in EKS, validating service interactions, scalability, and resilience
  • Manually test API requests and responses to validate proper routing, data integrity, and error handling
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to validate infrastructure configurations, CI/CD pipeline deployments, and service orchestration within EKS clusters
  • Test integration scenarios between multiple microservices, ensuring proper load balancing, autoscaling, and API Gateway configurations
  • Review logs and monitoring data from AWS CloudWatch to identify and troubleshoot issues
  • Document defects, track their resolution, and provide feedback on API designs and cloud architectures


Requirements:

  • Strong experience with manual API testing using tools like Postman or Curl, focusing on RESTful APIs in AWS environments
  • Proficiency in testing API Gateway configurations, including stages, routes, and integration with Lambda functions
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly API Gateway, EKS, and CloudWatch
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and testing containerized applications within EKS clusters
  • Understanding of network configurations, security protocols, and IAM roles within AWS for testing and validating API access controls
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with cloud-based applications


Desirable:

  • Experience in testing autoscaling features, service mesh integrations, and failover scenarios within EKS
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for managing EKS and API Gateway configurations
  • Knowledge of API security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and IAM policies
  • Familiarity with load and performance testing for APIs using tools like JMeter or Gatling
