Position Summary

The Manager, Business Development at Empower Pharmacy is a dynamic, results-driven leader responsible for spearheading new client acquisition and market expansion. This role leads a high-performance outbound prospecting team, developing and executing innovative strategies to drive pipeline growth, penetrate new markets, and maximize revenue generation. With a strong foundation in data-driven sales, strategic relationship building, and team leadership, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Empower Pharmacy’s footprint as the go-to provider of high-quality, affordable medications.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes elite-level outbound prospecting strategies that drive high-value lead generation, leveraging advanced sales intelligence, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tools, and market insights to maximize pipeline velocity and optimize conversion rates.
  • Leads, mentors, trains, and scales a high-performance business development team, fostering a competitive, goal-oriented culture that emphasizes continuous improvement, strategic outreach, and accountability for exceeding aggressive sales key performance indicators.
  • Builds and nurtures strong relationships with key healthcare decision-makers, using consultative sales techniques, data-driven insights, and a deep understanding of industry trends to position Empower Pharmacy as the preferred provider of pharmaceutical solutions.
  • Owns and optimizes sales performance metrics, analyzing pipeline health, conversion trends, and engagement effectiveness to continuously refine outreach strategies, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure sustained revenue growth.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to align outbound initiatives with company-wide business objectives to make certain team processes are documented, ensuring a seamless transition from lead generation to account activation and revenue expansion.

  • Proven expertise in building and optimizing high-performing sales teams, with the ability to develop, mentor, and scale outbound prospecting operations that drive sustained revenue growth.
  • Advanced proficiency in sales intelligence tools, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, Salesforce preferred, and AI-driven automation, leveraging data analytics to track pipeline performance, enhance prospecting efficiency, and accelerate deal conversion.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, outbound sales, or lead generation leadership, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Preferred certifications include Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Certified Business Development Professional (CBDP), and Strategic Sales Management Certification (SSMC) to demonstrate expertise in sales leadership and business development.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI in daily work to drive efficiency, solve problems, and enhance decision-making—adept at integrating AI-powered solutions into all workflows.
