Our client is a rapidly growing iGaming company, expanding its operations in multiple jurisdictions. With a strong presence in the industry, they are now looking a Legal Counsel to support their operations and help them to launch the new payment vertical.
Role Overview
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for establishing and maintaining legal entities across various jurisdictions including Cyprus, Lithuania, and Estonia, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and handling corporate legal matters.
Legal Counsel will also be responsible for the legal aspects of implementing a new payment solution. This role requires strong expertise in fintech and payments industries.
Key Responsibilities
Establishing and managing legal entities in Cyprus, Lithuania, and Estonia for e-commerce and iGaming projects.
Handling company registrations, regulatory filings, and liaising with local authorities.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating merchant agreements, and banking-related legal documents.
Assisting with UBO setup and corporate structuring if required
Ensuring full compliance with iGaming regulations in relevant jurisdictions.
Advising on legal matters related to payment processing, AML compliance, and financial regulations
Supporting the licensing process (Canadian MSB licences).
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in Fintech environment - PSP, EMI, Canadian MSB or other payment services.
Experience in legal support for gambling operators, compliance, licensing) - nice to have.
Experience dealing with banks, PSPs, and financial institutions.
Previous involvement in corporate structuring, UBO setup, or regulatory licensing
Fluent English is a must.
