Job description

Position Summary

This role will report into the Sr. Director of Sales – Club to drive profitable revenue growth across our Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s businesses. This individual will be vital to the growth and scale of the brand as they will be working with three of the most important and strategic customers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Work Closely with Senior Director of Sales and EVP Channel Sales to develop Regional Club Strategie.s
    • Focus on Account Management for an Underdeveloped Costco Region.
    • Create Region Specific Rotation Strategies.
    • Research competitive activity and communicate pricing & competitive activation in the marketplace.
  • Update and Maintain Forecast and Accruals.
    • Ensure Planful is updated with the most up to date activation (promo, demos, etc.).
    • Ensure Costco Monthly Report is updated with latest trends, rotations, etc. for demand planning to build the 13wk forecast.
    • Maintain Accrual tracker to ensure regions are not overspending/underspending based on shipment.
    • Support with Innovation forecasts on club items.
    • Ensure buy docs are consistently updated with latest specs, pricing, etc.
  • Manage Demo and Roadshow Programs.
    • Demos – Set up demos within CDS portal, ensure images, talking points, etc. are always up to date.
    • Roadshows – Coordinate resources, materials and logistics for Roadshow events.
  • Maintain all corporate policies related to club channel matters.
  • Stay abreast of and communicate pricing & competitive activities in the marketplace.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Have 3+ years of previous key account selling experience, preferably in CPG.
  • Have established business cadence and relationships within Costco and/or Club vertical with 2+ years of previous experience working in the Club channel.
  • Motivated, adaptable, a team player and a self-starter.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company with the ability to adapt to change quickly.
  • Takes initiative and proactively looks for and suggests process improvements.
  • Active listener with strong negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven and successful sales management track record.
  • Ability to travel for field-based execution, sales calls, and meetings - approximately ~20-30% of the time.
  • Demonstrated alignment to the Company Values and Mission.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and a passion to drive success in a team environment.
  • Understanding of syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS) and how to use it as a customer management tool.
  • Understanding of P&L statements and the factors that influence profitability.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership skills.
  • Interest and willingness to learn from and teach others.
  • Excellent presentation skills with above average influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.
  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced Office literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
