About the Role


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive significant revenue growth and market penetration in the West Coast and Intermountain West
  • Build a pro-active, competitive sales approach based on the client’s needs and the unique selling propositions of Symrise products
  • Develop a dynamic and long-term sales strategy, to ensure sustainable and profitable growth
  • Build a robust pipeline to support ambitious growth objectives and manage a successful execution of projects. Maintain projects using the CRM system, CX/C4C.
  • Advise and inform on customer activities, customer brands, market trends and competitor’s activities to aid strategic planning
  • Develop and manage new customer relationships while growing existing partnerships
  • Responsible for updating and monitoring the rolling forecast on a monthly basis
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams: Technical Directors, Lab, Sales Support, Operations, Marketing
  • Attend industry events


About You


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in chemical or biological sciences. Master degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience within the cosmetic industry within Sales, Marketing, or as a Scientist
  • Technical knowledge about cosmetic ingredients and their application
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of sales processes
  • Knowledge about the cosmetic industry and the customers and brands
  • Robust Software Skills (MS Office, EIS, CX/C4C)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management and problem solving capabilities
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strategic vision and planning capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • International orientation: Must be used to working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Travel requirement: approximately 30% - 40%
  • Must live within the territory covered - (UT, ID, CA)
