Senior Database Administrator – Oracle EBS

Job Introduction:

At Parexel, we are a leading Clinical Research Organization company specializing in delivering life-changing medicines to patients. We are currently seeking a Senior Database Administrator – Oracle EBS to uphold our high standards of production uptime and service availability. This role involves managing backup, recovery, refresh, performance tuning, and comprehensive data structure security.

Who we are looking for:

Reliable individuals with extensive hands-on experience in supporting Oracle RDBMS across diverse platforms. Proven track record with various enterprise RDBMS vendors. In-depth knowledge of core Oracle databases (up to 23ai) and Oracle EBS database administration (through 12.2.4) is essential. That possess exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and a strong client-focused approach to work.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, install, maintain and control the organization's production and non-production databases.
  • Provide on-call support (EST hours) for production environments.
  • Support various activities including database maintenance, application releases, disaster recovery, database upgrades, and patching.
  • Play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance and security of the databases.
  • Collaborate on the development of technical and security standards with other database administrators and technical resources.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in more than one RDBMS and OS technology, excellent knowledge of core Oracle databases required (up through 23ai), and Oracle EBS database administration through 12.2.4 required, including concurrent processing, system administration, start up and shut down, RAC, OEM in the EBS space, support of printing including XML, managing of schema statistics, identification of poorly performing queries, performance tuning, RAC refreshes. Proficient knowledge to manage and monitor WebLogic Server, SOA Suite and Vertex. Comfort with Linux and windows – able to login to various environments, start/stop/monitor services in these environments – determine status or issues in these environments. Bachelor’s degree or other relevant qualification/experience required. OCI Certification is preferred.
