SUMMARY

 

The Credentialing Specialist provides a critical role in engaging and motivating field staff (aka healthcare providers, travelers) to complete credentialing compliance requirements with the goal of meeting client and organization timelines and expectations. This position completes various assigned tasks and ad hoc projects to support the company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Engage with healthcare providers in an inviting, friendly, and professional manner to deliver exceptional experiences and nurture relationships.
  • Respond quickly, professionally, and accurately to internal and external inquiries.
  • Build expert, dynamic knowledge of credentialing and compliance requirements to include, but not limited to, the various activities required to prepare the healthcare providers credentialed compliance file successfully such as: understanding of all education requirements, certifications, verification sources, and compliance elements.
  • Conduct research with available resources to satisfy inquiries.
  • Meet personal/team qualitative and quantitative targets.
  • Document status updates and ongoing communication with healthcare providers is designated operations/database.
  • Identifies and reports credentialing red flags proactively.
  • Collect and affirm quality of credentials and compliance requirements meet client, organization, and Joint Commission standards.
  • Assists when needed with the compliance expiration process for all field staff.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and maintains communication with field employees (aka, Healthcare providers, travelers, etc.) and internal teams regarding file status.
  • Maintain all candidate files in an organized manner in accordance with department procedure.
  • Works across all companies: Fastaff, USN, Trustaff, and other brands as needed. 
  • May require travel.
  • Performs additional duties as requested by management.

 

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of office experience
  • Prior experience in credentialing
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, staffing, or human resources environment
  • Prior work experience in a customer service industry

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

  • Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through use of the telephone, email, video conference and face to face contact.
  • Must have manual dexterity, visual acuity, and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation with low periods of reaching and standing.
