Job Overview

RemotePass is seeking a mid-level finance professional with robust experience in managing cross-border payments and bank transfers. In this role, you will oversee and optimize our international payment operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across diverse banking networks. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive smooth financial operations in a dynamic, remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

As a key team member of our Finance Team, you will focus on the following:

  • Manage International Payment Processes: Oversee end-to-end processing of cross-border and multi currency payments and bank transfers, ensuring timely and accurate execution across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
  • Banking Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with international banks and payment service providers, facilitating seamless transactions and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, monitor compliance standards, and implement best practices in cross-border payments.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts, monitor transaction discrepancies, and generate detailed reports on payment activities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payment workflows, optimize transaction costs, and enhance operational efficiency through the use of modern payment technologies and tools.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders (e.g., accounting, payroll, tech and operations teams) to support financial planning, budgeting, and audit processes related to international transactions.
  • Support month-end & annual accounting close.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in managing multi-country payments, bank transfers, or similar financial operations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of international banking systems, multi-currency payment processing, and financial reconciliation software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks governing cross-border payments in different regions.
  • Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and drive informed decisions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to work collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic would be beneficial

A Plus

  • Accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or equivalent)
  • 1+ years of proven experience in global payroll processing/controlling or EOR/PEO accounting
  • Experience in a group of companies with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting
