About the Role:

The Field Development Manager facilitates the execution of the overall assigned market development plan providing objective thought as the plan evolves cross functionally. The FDM will focus efforts on positive net restaurant growth both by mitigating restaurant closures and filling a pipeline of approved new restaurant openings. The FDM also assists in market optimization planning through the identification and facilitation of relocation opportunities.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identify new sites/ Real Estate opportunities within the designated area.
  • Complete thorough analytics of potential sites.
  • Support Franchise Owners during the Opening/Relocation//Closures, using internal and external resources available.
  • Build relationships with Key Developers, Corporate Partners and Existing Franchisees.
  • Work closely with Ops Field and other teams on development projects.
  • Identify new potential markets for future growth.
  • Analyze and define development territories (site evaluations, Market studies)
  • Work closely with Real Estate/Market Planning team, as well as other internal partners to build the development plan.
  • Prospect Follow up & Administrative Support: Building and Following up the Development Pipeline. Forecast and Planning Management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree would be a plus.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial development. Restaurant and/or retail industry experience would be preferred.
  • Experience working with franchisees would be beneficial.
  • Experience with market optimization.
  • Familiarity with market brokers/real estate agents.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivating, and have excellent time management and communication skills, good relationship building skills, flexible and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders with experience leading cross functional decision making.
  • Experience or understanding in overall market planning. Knowledge of franchise and licensing law, regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Strategic Planning, Sales Analysis, Consumer Insights and Brand Management.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite, MS Teams, Sitewise, etc.
  • Must live within the advertised territory and in close proximity to a major airport.
  • Travel Requirement: up to 75% overnight travel.
