Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

Client Engagement

Establish and maintain essential and progressive client relationships from board level to operations and encourage Create consultancy opportunities to develop and enhance benefit to clients with continued and additional services.

Sales and Work Winning

Lead the identification; planning and working winning efforts for securing consultancy and technology opportunities, including bidding and cost of sales, account management and driving the internal work winning governance process.

Key Account Management & Campaign Planning

Maintain effective key account planning driving effectiveness of relationships to deliver solutions to customers and win work. Create, co-ordinate and deliver imaginative and ambitious campaign plans to realise our long term pipeline of opportunities in the Defence Nuclear Enterprise and beyond.

Lobbying

Enable Costain to understand and inform appropriate Governmental, UK PLC and Defence Industry decision making processes and that relevant Costain individuals are representing Costain’s interests at suitable Governmental or Industry Sector level which translate to sales leads.

Corporate Development and Group Strategy Team

Contribute to the wider Corporate Development and Group Strategy team to ensure that the Groups strategy direction and customer consultancy relationships are representing one costain.

Events / Stakeholder Engagement

Identify, scope, and develop a stakeholder engagement plan of events / engagements (eg visits, seminars, dinners, events) with appropriate multi-level (Group CEO/Chairman to Project focused) contacts to ensure that we are both recognised in our industry and fully conversant with the challenges and strategic drivers of our Customers. Organise and lead the delivery of these events in conjunction with colleagues, including admin support from within the team.

Conduct research to analyse markets and customer needs

Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate innovative development ideas. Review and monitor strategies of the company such as sales, advertising, marketing, and other related fields of business.

  • The individual should bring relevant sales contacts/relationships with them
  • Understanding/existing experience of the UK Defence market, regulation, opportunities and challenges.
