Position Summary

The Quality Specialist is responsible for conducting needs assessments, referral quality assurance audits, and performance improvement activities to achieve a high level of both quality and efficiency. In partnership with directors, managers, and leaders, the Quality Specialist determines and maintains processes to achieve increasingly effective and efficient personnel performance and quality. This position assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of the orientation and continuing educational needs and activities of all staff members. The Quality Specialist ensures training aids/manuals/handbooks are maintained and functional, conducts new hire and continuing education training, oversees quality assurance audits, and coordinates logistics and record keeping of training activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree with 2+ years of relevant experience may be substituted
  • Successful completion of MHS centralized Referral Management team onboarding and five (5) years referrals, prior authorizations, and/or registration experience may also be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement with Referral Management Director/Manager approval
  • Experience with automated information systems and computer software applications including data entry and retrieval
  • Experience in a leadership and/or coaching/training position
  • Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $62,005.00 - $89,211.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
