We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to provide leadership, oversight, and operational management for multiple contracts. This remote position requires 25% travel and offers the opportunity to drive high-quality program execution while supporting customer and subcontractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Program Execution: Support the Senior Program Manager in directing and managing multiple work groups across planning, task order management, budgeting, property management, and procurement. Ensure all work meets quality, schedule, and cost expectations.
  • Operational Management: Oversee cost, schedule, and technical performance of program task orders. Lead technical and cost proposal development, approval, and submission.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers in the Senior Program Manager’s absence, providing updates on program performance and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Financial & Compliance Oversight: Serve as funds manager, ensuring compliance with contracts, task orders, and company/government policies. Monitor safety, cost, and technical performance.
  • Quality & Process Improvement: Lead portfolio-wide Quality Improvement Initiatives and maintain document control processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management Plans.
  • Staff Development & Team Management: Promote team morale through mentorship, training, and career development. Conduct performance evaluations, manage staffing needs, and oversee resource allocation.
  • Strategic Growth & Business Development: Support Business Development efforts, including proposal writing, past performance documentation, and technical submissions. Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within existing contracts.

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensing: Master’s degree in a related field with an active clinical license at the highest state level in counseling, social work, or psychology.
  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of leadership experience in behavioral health care operations within the Department of Defense, corporate, or civilian sectors.
    • Extensive experience in clinical supervision of non-medical counseling, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and wellness services (CEAP preferred).
    • Strong knowledge of military mission activities, military treatment facilities, civilian behavioral health, wellness, and EAP services.
    • Experience in a Program Management Office (PMO) is a plus.
  • Certifications & Skills:
    • PMP certification (or ability to obtain within six months).
    • Lean Six Sigma or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred (or ability to obtain within six months).
    • Clinical supervisory credential preferred (or ability to obtain within one year).
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams in a government contracting and matrixed management environment. Strong strategic mindset to drive growth and expand business opportunities.

Basic Compensation:

$116,100 - $174,200

The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

 

Additional Compensation:

This position may receive shift differential pay for night and weekend shifts  if scheduled to work those shifts. KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
