Raytheon is seeking a self-starting, motivated Associate Director, Business Development to represent the Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) portfolio to Indo-Pacific and International Americas (Canada, Central, and South America) customers, U.S. Government program offices, and Raytheon functional, regional, and program areas. The role offers significant growth opportunities in capture management, program management, customer development, proposal development, and exposure to leadership. 

The Associate Director, Business Development must be flexible to succeed in a complex regional environment that includes different cultural, time zone, language, government, and military structures. Working closely with international sales representatives and consultants is a critical skill.

What You Will Do

  • Function within a team of three business development professionals under the leadership of the Director, Indo-Pacific & The Americas, L&ADS
  • Cultivate foreign customer relationships to establish RAY LADS as trusted partner in the Indo-Pacific and the International Americas regions 
  • Work closely with LADS program and functional leads to capture 5YP bookings
  • Support and coordinate RLPM, proposal, PMO, EX/IM and Engineering teams 
  • Identify, shape and pursue opportunities to drive  product and pipeline growth for expanded LADS program portfolio (30+ programs) across a select sub-set of 13 countries in the Indo-Pacific and Americas regions and sub-regions such as South America, Northeast or Southeast Asia depending on the countries and regions assigned to you by your Director  
  • Work with Raytheon and RTX in-country teams, sales intermediaries, representative, and business consultants to develop and execute country-specific program and growth strategies
  • International and domestic travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 12 years’ experience in international capture management (FMS/DCS), military operational planning or systems requirements planning or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Experience working with functional teams such as Business/Operational  Development, Competitive or Military Intelligence (CI), Project Management Offices, Capabilities Analysis & Assessments, Engineering, Export / Import, Global Trade, Contracts, Legal, and Government Relations 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, program management, technology development, or experience with Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, and International Partner requirements development and / or Army, Marine Corps, or Air Force acquisition
  • International military/customer experience in one of the following regions/subregions: Indo-Asia-Pacific; Oceania; South, Central, & North America (Canada & Mexico)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience leading successful capture strategies with multiple teams and possess strong collaborative and team-building skills 
  • Experience in direct international customer engagement or international offset requirements
  • Experience managing international sales intermediaries and business consultants 
  • Experience and/or familiarity with ground combat and air defense weapons systems
  • An Engineering and/or a Post Graduate Degree

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
