The Technical Architect coordinates the technical aspects of all the development, architectural, operational, security, and testing activities for multiple project teams. They participate in a hands-on manner within a team and operate with the contextual knowledge of the full portfolio. They also help bridge the portfolio’s broader goals with the technical implementation, helping to define, implement, and inspire adherence to the technical direction, processes, and standards for the portfolio. Identifies AI-driven automation opportunities to enhance efficiency across development, testing, and design. Mentors team members on AI tools and best practices while ensuring responsible implementation aligned with VA policies. Supports upskilling efforts and integrates AI into workflows to optimize productivity without compromising security or user experience.
