YOUR CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES
  • Design and implement a Platform-as-a-Service for hundreds of projects and thousands of developers, focusing on hands-on development and ensuring architectural alignment for innovative distributed (composable, micro-service, and modular) applications for large enterprises like ALDI, Hornbach, and Siemens
  • Conduct analysis, design, and hands-on implementation of service components as building blocks for a composition serving the user's purpose
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to capture requirements, quality attributes and foresee business opportunities
  • Review, challenge and actualize technical stack and technology dependencies to provide state-of-art developer experience in collaboration with Application Architects
  • Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery applications
  • Translate the strategy defined by leadership into practical, hands-on technical implementations, while managing technical risks and collaborating with engineering teams on the execution
  • Work within the team of architects, actively contributing hands-on to architectural decisions and concepts while driving cloud-native implementation
  • Immersing into existing solutions and improving them constantly by architecting and implementing performant, maintainable systems with great developer experience
  • Documenting architectural decisions (eg C4, UML, ADR), driven by quality attributes
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to capture requirements and foresee business opportunities
  • Support and consult with engineering teams implementing architecture design
  • Being an evangelist of a cloud-native mindset and DevOps culture in engineering teams
OUR EXPECTATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions, with extensive hands-on engineering experienceEngineer and architect mindset: seeking ownership, value-driven, solution-orientedDemonstrated ability to write, test, and maintain code for cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high reliability and performance
  • Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, techniques, technologies, and security
  • Extensive working experience with infrastructure services, including computing, networking, routing, and security
  • Extensive experience with AWS (including AWS certification or an intention to get one) or any other major public cloud provider.
  • Proven track record of cloud-native technical and organization transformation
  • Working experience in designing auto-scalable cloud solutions, and implementing scaling strategies using modern automation tools
  • Familiarity with software engineering principles and practices, with the ability to contribute directly to cloud setup and coding tasksKnowledge of cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices
  • Working experience with IaC tools like Terraform, Terragrunt
  • Familiar with software development patterns: e.g. SOLID principles, Clean Code, Separation of Concerns, SAGA, DDD
  • Capability to proactively work with stakeholders (including customer engineering teams), challenge functional requirements and define non-functional requirements
  • A proven track record in leading hands-on technical implementation, architectural decisions, and driving innovation
  • Outstanding analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent in English language proficiency
