OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY
Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.Fox Television in Phoenix, Arizona is currently seeking an experienced Traffic Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
Manipulating and creating daily logs to ensure that spots are placed correctly
Manage commercial inventory to maximize revenue
Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure all elements on the log are accurate
Verify logs conform to FCC regulations
Consistently report available commercial time to Sales
Ensure accuracy of advertiser commercials placing on station log(s). Includes, downloading, coordinating, and scheduling local commercial materials for advertisers – spot and PAID in advance of airtime as well as day of.
Research and resolve discrepancies when necessary
Provide backup support to other employees in the traffic department as needed
Monthly edit of commercial roster to ensure relevant and required commercials are available to air.
Utilizing Wide Orbit software to perform essential functions of the job
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy. Cross-training is essential for this role. Communicate professionally with advertising agencies and station personnel in various departments. Prior broadcast traffic experience on the Wide Orbit traffic system preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required; College degree pref. Varied hours and overtime as needed. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $20.00-24.52 per hour for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $16.50-20.25 per hour for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
