The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As the Manager, Foreign Exchange (FX) and Capital Markets you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Solventum’s FX risk, ensuring effective currency exposure management, and managing hedging programs. You will also support market analysis, capital raising initiatives, and financing transaction execution. You will support the Assistant Treasurer, Treasurer, and other finance executives to develop and implement financial risk mitigation strategies that align with the company's financial goals and risk appetite. Strong collaboration and partnership with the relevant teams in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Legal to actively manage FX exposures, global investments, related funding, and liquidity solutions.

Managing and executing key risk management activities:

  • Identify, analyze, and assess financial risks/exposures (i.e., FX and rates).
  • Execute hedging strategies including derivatives (e.g., forwards, options, swaps, etc.).
  • Maintain financial risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, reporting requirements, and disclosure standards
  • Execute FX trades in accordance with corporate derivatives policies
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks/derivative counterparties.
  • Prepare analysis and reporting on the effectiveness of hedging programs
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis to market fluctuations

Assisting and supporting key debt capital markets activities:

  • Analysis of capital markets and liquidity management across the global enterprise
  • Assist in the planning and executing capital raising activities, including debt issuances, equity offerings, and other financing arrangements.
  • Evaluate financing options and structures to optimize funding costs and manage capital requirements.
  • Support Solventum’s commercial paper program.
  • Support on various activities including dividend policy, share repurchases, liquidity management, credit facilities, liability management, and debt maturities.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR higher AND seven (7) years of experience in treasury, and/or financial services, including exposure to financial markets in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Advanced education or certification such as MBA, CTP, or CFA
  • Prior FX (foreign exchange) experience
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg
  • Analytical and modeling skills and the ability to make data-driven financial decisions
  • In-depth knowledge of global financial markets, foreign exchange products, capital instruments, debt/equity financing mechanisms, and risk management strategies.
  • Treasury Management System experience (i.e., Kyriba)
  • Experience engaging with external parties, including Investment Banks
  • Self-starter with ability to drive change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and external stakeholders
  • Organizational and prioritization skills

Work location: Remote - United States

Travel: May include up to 20% domestic/international.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $183,301 - $224,034, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
