Sr. Staff Accountant

As a Sr. Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for carrying out accounting duties including monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, combined financial statements, variance analysis of financial statements and other ad hoc requests.

Your Impact:

• Review and consolidate financial statements from external entities, integrating them into Risk Strategies' financial records.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accounts, providing explanations and insights to management.
• Analyze monthly EBITDA reports, identify variances, and deliver commentary to management and stakeholders to explain discrepancies.
• Communicate and present Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets, offering in-depth analysis on business performance to senior management.
• Support the seamless integration of new acquisitions into Risk Strategies systems during the conversion process.
• Ensure accurate cut-off procedures for new acquisitions, verifying that revenues and expenses are recorded to the correct entity.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Insurance Industry Experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience; Accounting degree required; Public accounting experience a plus
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications, esp. Microsoft D365, Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working in a paperless environment
• Ability to handle a fast-paced, challenging work environment

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
