The Site Payment Reconciliation Analyst II plays a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within clinical trial operations. This position is responsible for executing complex reconciliations of site payments, harmonizing financial records with clinical data and the Oracle Finance System, and maintaining the integrity of payment processes throughout the lifecycle of clinical studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute and oversee comprehensive, systematic reconciliations of site payments against clinical data, financial records, and contractual agreements.

  • Lead the implementation and management of quarterly reconciliation processes, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  • Serve as a key liaison with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations, Finance, and Data Management, to investigate and resolve complex payment inconsistencies.

  • Leverage and optimize advanced reconciliation tools and techniques to enhance process efficiency and accuracy.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of reconciliation data to identify trends, assess potential risks, and propose opportunities for process improvement.

  • Develop and present detailed reconciliation reports to stakeholders, including evidence-based recommendations for corrective actions.

  • Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures related to site payments, and guide junior team members in compliance matters.

  • Actively contribute to the development and refinement of reconciliation methodologies and best practices, taking a leadership role in process innovation.

  • Assist in the transition and mapping of studies from legacy systems to new payment platforms, ensuring data integrity and continuity.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reconciliation processes, including researching and recommending new technologies and automation solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of experience in financial reconciliation, preferably in a clinical research setting

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems, particularly Oracle Finance System

  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical trial processes and financial operations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead small teams

  • Experience in process improvement and change management

This mid-level role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the overall success of clinical trials. The Site Payment Reconciliation Analyst II will be expected to take on complex reconciliation tasks, mentor junior team members, and contribute significantly to process improvements and strategic initiatives within the department.
