About the Role:
We are expanding our team and seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensing Manager to represent the client. In this role, you will be responsible for selling existing KISS and Reelshort copyrights through traditional channels while identifying new opportunities in the offline book market. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of our licensing business and expand our reach in both domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent client by promoting and selling existing KISS and Reelshort copyrights.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand our presence in the offline book market.
  • Identify and pursue licensing opportunities with retailers, bookstores, and other distribution channels.
  • Manage domestic and international copyright agreements, including exclusive offline sublicensing, audiobooks, and foreign rights.
  • Negotiate and execute sublicensing agreements while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure proper documentation and adherence to copyright laws.
  • Negotiate terms with publishers, including author advances, royalties, and rights such as film and foreign rights, leveraging client's market presence and growth.
  • Provide insights on market trends, audience preferences, and emerging licensing opportunities.
  • Attend industry events and stay updated on industry developments and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with client's internal teams to effectively market and promote licensed titles in offline channels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in publishing, communications, media studies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in licensing, content acquisition, or intellectual property management in publishing or entertainment.
  • Strong network and relationships within the publishing and author community, with knowledge of web novel platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience managing licensing rights and exploring international sublicensing opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with legal and contractual terms related to licensing agreements.
  • Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of reader preferences.
