The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity available for a Director Strategic Accounts, supporting Abbott’s Vascular division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices, peripheral stents, thrombectomy catheters and atherectomy devices.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop and enhance portfolio of corporate accounts by identifying key players—customers, distributors, potential partners, influencers.
• Create strategic implementation plans for specific high potential and high growth IDN agreements.
• Demonstrate and execute a strategic selling approach by identifying key decision makers throughout targeted hospitals and health systems, while successfully positioning and communicating Abbott Vascular’s value proposition.
• Demonstrate confidence, practical intelligence and accountability for growing new buyers and delivering revenue targets.
• Developing and implementing a consistent approach for the field sales organization to shift the buyer’s focus away from price and capturing the value Abbott Vascular’s product portfolio provides health care providers.
• Build relationships with key market influencers, i.e., early adopters, key influencers, thought leaders and end user customers with the specific goals of driving therapy adoption towards standard of care.
• Build relationships with value-based decision makers within targeted strategic accounts by educating these customers on Abbott Vascular’s clinical and economic outcomes. The goal being to advance adoption of Abbott’s product portfolio through smart strategies that include clear positioning, appropriate pricing, and competitive advantage.
• Collaborate across various internal business units ensuring Vascular can meet customer needs, drive growth, and maintain a competitive edge.
• Facilitate detailed agreement execution plans in partnership with AVP’s/RSD’s to drive immediate execution and contract pull-through
• Partner with Enterprise Accounts (EA) as strategic thought partner on GPO/IDN agreements and serve as Vascular ambassador as needed with GPO leadership meetings
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
• Bachelor's Degree; Preferably Business, Marketing, Communications or Economics
• 10+ years of Sales or Marketing experience within the healthcare environment with at least 2 years of corporate or national accounts experience
• Quota based sales experience
• Experience working with all levels of Value Based Decision Makers within medium to large health systems, IDN’s, and GPO’s
• Advanced knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance guidelines
• Extensive experience negotiating contracts including common T&Cs and deal structures
• Experience using tools such as Excel or PowerBI to analyze customer trends and identify opportunities for growth
The base pay for this position is
$111,300.00 – $222,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
