Join our dynamic team as a Sales Executive Remote (SER) under the guidance of the Remote Sales Director, where you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and achieving territory targets. In this position, you will engage with both existing primary and secondary customers, offering innovative products and solutions while fostering strong customer relationships and ensuring contract compliance.

Sales Executive, Remote Sales is a fully remote position that focuses on digital sales strategies to achieve or exceeds sales targets, set in cooperation with leadership, focusing on revenue, profit, metric units and margin growth with existing primary and secondary customers in the independent retail and alternate care pharmacy segment within a specific customer assignment (territory) via account penetration. Leveraging digital sales strategies and tools such as webinars, virtual demos, and social selling to engage and convert customers.

Champions a customer-centric approach by implementing personalized customer journey mapping and feedback loops to continuously enhance the customer experience and address compliance issues proactively.

Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in using computer and technology tools to enhance customer experience and sales processes. Leverage digital tools and platforms effectively for sales activities. Utilize social media platforms to engage with customers and promote Cencora’s offerings. Stays updated with the latest technological advancements to enhance sales strategies.

  • Maintain relationships with existing customers within the CSP supported segment to ensure continued business and successful renewals. Identify ways to grow existing accounts into CSP Priority and Hi-Po segment accounts and successfully transition to field sales team when appropriate.
  • Team-Based Selling- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Buying Group, customer service, and finance, to align strategies and achieve sales goals. Attains business targets related to the sale of specific solutions.
  • Utilizes advanced analytics and customer data platforms to identify sales opportunities, predict customer needs, and tailor solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Integration of Richardson Sales framework to execute customer conversations effectively.
  • Achieves monthly sales/activity goals established in conjunction with department manager. This may include but not limited to call volume, % of calls leading to an order, order volume, generic conversations, solutions selling and revenue.
  • Promotes sales expansion by converting secondary customers to primary by executing sales expansion within Cencora’s suite of offerings.
  • Negotiates Prime Vendor Agreements (PVA) with current customers and implements new PVAs resulting in continual retention of profitable accounts in the individual sales assignment.
  • Leads the onboarding of new customers within the assigned segments, as well as implementation of customer solutions, by effectively collaborating with functional departments to ensure full adoption, value realization and an ongoing excellent customer experience.
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration initiatives, including virtual brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental projects, to develop innovative sales strategies and customer solutions using Cencora’s Suite of Offerings to address customer specific needs.
  • In cooperation with the Director, create an annual strategic plan to achieve business goals, utilizing sales reporting tools ongoing to identify and analyze opportunities to expand current customer business.
  • Leverages additional service and sales channels such as Customer Service and Inside Sales to address day-to-day standard service issues resulting in maximized “selling time” when working with customers while maintaining a cohesive “face” of Cencora to the customer.
  • Creates an sales efficient daily territory call plan. Effectively and efficiently manages the assigned territory with a regular call cycle that results in the delivery of appropriate/defined customer touches while also making off-cycle, discretionary calls, as situations require. Associate will be asked to shift priorities based on the needs of Cencora or the customer at any given time.
  • Continually maintains and inputs account activity/results information and tracks interactions in the CRM and other appropriate sales management tools.
  • Develops and maintains a strong base of working knowledge of the retail and alternate care customers and markets through the use of training, Director coaching, ongoing of customer industry research and company literature, which allows for successful execution of Cencora sales strategies and commercial insights.
  • Partners with Account Management team to ensure operational efficiency within the supported territory by executing on operational excellence and improved customer experience.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

A proven history of successful consultative selling in a diverse customer marketplace resulting in improved customer sales. Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education are required. Normally requires five (5) plus years directly related and progressively responsible sales experience. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, retail and alternate care segments is preferred.

  • Proficient understanding of retail and alternate care industries, trends, and challenges facing customers
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, adaptable to different audiences
  • Ability to actively listen and influence others with different points of view
  • Strong organizational agility, working collaboratively across teams internally to achieve a common goal
  • Advanced understanding of financial concepts relevant to maximizing sales profit (e.g. profit and loss statements, value)
  • Excellent customer service skills to address potential issues through channels such as Customer Care without compromising selling focused conversation
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change, and successfully monitor multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or timeliness of work
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with little oversite on a day-to-day basis
  • Adopts and integrates cutting-edge sales technologies such as AI-driven CRM tools, predictive analytics software, and virtual reality (VR) demos to enhance customer interactions and sales efficiency

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
