Job description

Position Overview

The Director, Data & Analytics, Field and Patient Access plays a critical role on the Field and Patient Access team acting as the data, reporting, and analytics lead for the Head of Field and Patient Access. This role is responsible for managing all data, reporting, analytics, and all cross-functional PMO workstreams related to the Field and Patient Access team to ensure metrics and reporting align with the team’s overall strategies and evolve to meet the ongoing needs of the team. This role will partner closely with the Field and Patient Access Leadership Team to regularly communicate insights and best practices across the FAL and PAC teams, assess access-related metrics, and make data-driven recommendations. The Director reports to the Head of Field and Patient Access.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all data & reporting dashboards and metric reporting across FAL and PAC teams ensuring data integrity and alignment with the Field and Patient Access team’s strategy and key priorities.
  • Lead all cross-functional PMOs and associated workstreams across the FAL and PAC teams for the Head of Field and Patient Access to hold cross-functional partners accountable and ensure all key access priorities, analytics and reporting capabilities, platform enhancements, and other key deliverables are completed on-time.
  • Collaborate with Digital and SAS teams to explore additional data available within CoverMyMeds (CMM) based on ongoing business needs.
  • Engage internal and external data vendors (i.e., Digital, SAS, Polaris, CMM, etc.) to address existing and new required data elements based on business need.
  • Regularly analyze all data and metrics associated with the Field Access PAC Pilot to derive key insights and inform the PAC Pilot Lead and Field and Patient Access LT on the program’s overall impact (through periodic and quarterly data reviews).
  • Lead a cross-functional workstream to implement any changes required to PAC or FAL team sizing and educational opportunity lists, including any changes required to the PAC Sizing Model.
  • Lead the semesterly refresh of FAL & PAC account educational opportunity lists, via insights from LAAD claims data and Connective Rx data, to ensure strategic account prioritization based on the most current data (proactively inform and seek input from the PAC Pilot Lead, Director, Strategy & Operations and Head of Field and Patient Access.
  • Collaborate with the Digital, SAS, and Polaris teams to pull relevant access metrics from suite of reports into PowerPoint presentations to communicate key insights and progress to senior management.
  • Build individual monthly FAL and PAC territory level reports leveraging the latest data available in the suite of FAL and PAC dashboards/reports assessing territory level PA impact relative to regional and national trends.
  • Lead monthly business reviews with FADs, PAC Supervisors, PAC Pilot Lead, and Field and Patient Access LT to help identify challenges and coaching opportunities to further drive educational impact based on greatest PA educational need.
  • Develop and present national and regional business reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with FADs, PAC Supervisors, PAC Pilot Lead, Field and Patient Access Leadership Team, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage all Triage data reporting to ensure the Field and Patient Access Leadership team, Compliance, Sales, and other key stakeholders are informed on Triage metrics and recommend refinements to Triage reporting and sales re-training, as needed.
  • Lead development of other ad-hoc reports as required for the business.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and communicate anticipated or evolving access challenges, opportunities, and subsequent implications for the FALs and PACs via partnership with FADs, PAC supervisors, and PAC Pilot Lead.
  • Communicate insights and best practices across FAL and PAC teams with Field and Patient Access Leadership Team as well as leaders on US Customer & Platform’s team.
  • Partner with Field and Patient Access LT in strategic planning exercises and presentations to leadership, including the Corporate Strategic Plan, disease area strategies, and the Annual Operating Plan
  • Partner with the PAC Pilot Lead, Director, Strategy & Operations and Head of Field and Patient Access utilizing data analytics to assess improvement of access-related metrics, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to drive impact of the FAL and PAC teams.
  • Serve as analytics thought partner to Field and Patient Access LT to help identify risks and strategic opportunities for FAL and PAC teams.
  • Proactively identify and recommend data improvements to streamline business processes.
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to data anomalies within all available data sources impacting the Field and Patient Access organization.
  • Build and maintain a strong rapport with the Field and Patient Access leadership team and other key customers to ensure ongoing decision support needs are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience
  • 2+ years operations, finance, data science, or field access experience
  • Able to lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to put innovation into action and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Ability to work with complex data sets
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to do both qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Demonstrated track record of cross-collaboration and strong matrix team coordination/leadership
  • Strong project management, time management, and coordination skills with cross functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results across a matrixed organization
  • Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,600.00 to $261,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
