Job description

Our client is a recognised leader in the retail industry with over 380 stores nationally. They operate in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork, innovation, and achieving operational excellence.

They are now looking to hire a Supply Planner who will play a vital role in ensuring the availability of stock across distribution centres and stores.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create purchase orders and manage inventory for distribution centres.
  • Allocate stock to stores based on size, sales rate, and upcoming events.
  • Maintain healthy inventory levels, balancing overstock and understock risks.
  • Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning activities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimise supply chain performance.
  • Monitor vendor performance using the DIFOT (Delivery in Full, On Time) metric.

Requirements

  • Experience in supply planning, replenishment, or demand forecasting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in merchandise systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A “can-do” attitude and customer-focused approach.
