Job description

Brokers' BackOffice is a Sydney based outsourcing firm specialised in handling loans processing for mortgage brokers operating in Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced loan processor to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mortgage processing, having worked alongside brokers and possess end-to-end expertise in handling loan applications.

Key responsibilities
  • Policy Analysis: Thoroughly understand and stay updated on various lenders' policies and criteria to accurately assess loan applications.
  • Pricing Requests: Conduct pricing requests and comparisons to ensure clients receive competitive loan offers.
  • Borrowing Power Assessment: Evaluate clients' financial situations to determine their borrowing capacity and provide detailed borrowing power assessments.
  • Scenario Discussions: Engage in discussions with lender BDMs to present and discuss various loan scenarios, seeking the best outcomes for clients.
  • Document Verification: Verify all relevant documents provided by clients, including identification, payslips, and bank statements.
  • Income Determination: Assess clients' income based on payslips and tax returns to ensure accurate loan assessments.
  • Application Lodgement: Prepare and lodge loan applications with lenders, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is included.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with mortgage brokers and clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify any discrepancies.
  • Facilitating the loan process up to settlement, including communication with solicitors, lenders, clients, and other related parties
  • Post-settlement tasks such as pricing and rate reviews
  • Handling complex and/or urgent requests
  • Admin tasks like email monitoring, chasing lenders for updates on applications and communicating with various lenders

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in loan processing within the Australian mortgage industry.
  • Proficiency in end-to-end loan processing tasks.
  • Demonstrate impeccable written and verbal communication skills in liaising with brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a drive for career advancement.
  • Leverage your background in processing loan applications through various systems and CRMs (Mercury, FLEX, Quickli, ApplyOnline, Broker Engine, etc.).
