Job description

As we go through the journey of registering, validating and verifying our projects across Afforestation and Impact Forestry and throughout our ever expanding regions of activity, we want to work with experts from across the verification, forestry and carbon project spaces to ensure our projects are of the highest quality.

We're assembling a panel of consultants to work with us across our projects, bringing their expertise to the table on a consultancy basis to support our internal teams with verification events, new market and product exploration and quantification of our project impact.

As a member of our panel of verification experts, we'll leverage your expertise in projects, including:

  • Advising on certain questions, positions, interpretations, etc. needed by Arbonics on verification areas
  • Preparation or review of documentation for verification events
  • Preparing or reviewing carbon calculations for projects
  • Providing resource support for projects/tasks during registration, validation and verification events
  • Supporting assessment of new markets, including performing investment barrier analysis or other regulatory checks
  • Working with our technology team to ensure our monitoring platforms are meeting verification standards.

The services are to be provided fully remotely and we welcome applications from across the world, with the majority of any direct meetings/calls with our team being in European time zones. Services will be provided through a consulting agreement with Arbonics, on an hourly rate basis, with no minimum hours/retainer in place.

Requirements

We're looking for experts with experience across any of the below areas:

  • Afforestation or Improved Forest Management projects, particularly those under Verra methodologies
  • Calculation of carbon capture and carbon credits
  • Managing the process of registering, validating and verifying projects, particularly under Verra methodologies
  • Creating technical project documentation, including policies, project descriptions and other regulatory filings
  • Working in the forestry sector, particularly that in Europe.
