Job Description
Offers products and services for U.S. Financial Sales primarily via inbound calls to existing and prospective customers in a centralized call center environment. Responds to incoming or makes out-going calls to customers and potential customers. Discusses and assesses a wide range of personal financial needs and recommends and offers products or services that meet or exceed the customer’s needs. Products include but are not limited to; installment loans and credit products, checking and savings products, certificates of deposit, IRAs, annuities, credit cards, etc. Develops customer profiles for other specialized products such as trust, investments, etc. and sends profile to appropriate product line support for follow-up sales calls. Provides customer service responding to questions about accounts and resolving various problems and processing errors. Interfaces with other sales staff and ensures referrals are responded to in a timely manner. Under general supervision utilizes creativity and applies a broad level of knowledge of principals, practices and procedures in order to effectively sell retail financial products and services. Handles incoming calls with intent of providing customer satisfaction and retention. Selling is the primary function of this position. Typically closes sale. Requires an extensive knowledge of all retail products and services, rates, terms, fees and applicable regulations. Calls are predominantly non-routine and require deviation from standard screens, scripts and procedures. Handles situations which may require adaptation of response according to customer response. Often assesses needs and suggests and promotes alternative products and services
Basic Qualifications
- Requires National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z and ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory registration requirements, including, but not limited to maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years or more of related experience
- Requires Current insurance license

- Strong detailed knowledge of retail financial products and services, as well as the company’s philosophy and policies regarding these products and services
- Effective selling and referral skills
- Good knowledge of systems and procedures

- Strong verbal communication skills

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.50 - $24.75
