Overview 
Here at OTI our innovative sampling tools and diagnostics unlock access to accurate, essential information that advances global health and well-being. Our products include molecular sampling kits for the genome and microbiome, and rapid diagnostics for infectious disease.  

Under the direction of the segment manager, the Associate Marketing Manageris responsible for the on-going support of a marketing strategy and tactical execution of deliverables designed to drive demand and awareness of our offerings with customers, prospects, vendors, and internal audiences (for product assigned, and for co-promoted products within the portfolio). This includes supporting the development of marketing strategies, and the cross functional execution of marketing tactics, and deliverables to drive lead generation, and support the overall segment business objectives.  
 
The Associate Marketing Manager will handle multiple projects, ranging from short communications to complex projects and integrated launch plans focused on specific target markets and products.  

Snapshot of Responsibilities:
  • Execute marketing plans and contribute to marketing strategy:   
  • Contribute to marketing strategy, product positioning and marketing plan development for existing and new products. 
  • Work with segment manager, product management team, channel marketing and sales leadership to develop the targeted marketing plan that promotes the products assigned, and to leverage other company offerings to drive growth in new and existing accounts through cross-selling, where appropriate.  
  • Be accountable for developing all marketing tactics, sales tools/training/collateral for assigned products and target audiences in collaboration with product managers, sales leadership, sales training, digital marketing, creative services, channel marketing, marketing operations and copywriters to define, create, and implement sales training and customer-facing promotional materials and programs across multiple channels and creative formats (i.e. email, website, datasheets, FAQ, blog content, social media, webinars, digital media, etc) to reach defined segment goals on time and on budget. 
  • Be responsible for tracking KPI’s for assigned products and programs including the successful and sustained lead generation across all assigned products, customer channels and business segments. 
  • Develop and demonstrate business acumen (i.e. product expertise, industry acumen, financial prowess, etc.): 
  • Collaborate cross functionally to train sales and provide channel support regarding products, messaging, target markets/audiences.   
  • Collaborate with marketing specialty teams, sales and the business analytics team to monitor and assess tactical effectiveness. 
  • Participate in cross-functional integrated processes with leadership and colleagues.  
  • Maintain accurate pulse on competitive activity using an active approach (ie. Publication review, competitive website and collateral review, tradeshow participation, sales ride-alongs) to develop an understanding of the market, care guidelines, key opinion leaders (KOL) influencers, and the competitive landscape within the assigned field. Use findings to suggest strategies to enhance market positioning of products assigned. 
  • Engage with key partner and opinion leader networks to drive the commercial success of products.  
  • Work with the digital marketing team to deploy campaigns and with marketing operations to measure KPI’s including the acquisition, retention, and development of target customers, including lead generation, nurturing, marketing analytics and ROI to improve the effectiveness of current/future initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with segment manager and finance team to support tracking of yearly revenue budgets and regular forecasts.  
  • Execute according to established processes and procedures:  
  • Responsible for all aspects of product marketing, including meeting deadlines, time management, contingency planning, approval channels and procedures, budgeting, campaign analysis, and tracking / monitoring outcomes 
  • Manage the marketing workflow from concept to deployment in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Work with the web development team to make recommendations for SEO improvements, including updates to content.
  • With Manager, develop strategic plan and presence for relevant tradeshows and industry events, and work collaboratively with event management team to execute accordingly. With Travel as required for tradeshows, industry, and partner meetings. 
  • Manage the development of all marketing and sales support materials, webinars, presentations, trainings, promotions, and communications in collaboration with cross functional partners.
  • Work with digital marketing team to execute digital channel strategies and tactics including webinars, email, social and paid media initiatives.

  • Strong project management skills and experience working in a deadline driven work environment and multiple project oversite. 
  • Demonstrate excellent written skills (copywriting and proofreading) and attention to detail. 
  • A strong attention to detail, demonstrated creativity and a sense of ownership for projects. A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid collaboration and communication skills. 
  • Well-developed knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.  
  • A reliable and high-speed internet connection is necessary for seamless communication while working remotely. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or the Sciences is required. 
  • MBA preferred. 
  • Experience (3+ years) in marketing. 
  • Travel throughout the U.S. and occasionally internationally 
  • The base salary range for this full-time position is $62,000 - $107,000 USD. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for participation in our annual bonus program. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the position, based on our defined salary pay ranges. Our ranges are broad to account for differences in roles, performance, experience, skillsets, education and business needs and individual pay is determined by a variety of factors.
