KBR is seeking an EEO Compliance Specialist, in this role you will participate in providing guidance to stakeholders on statutory compliance related to legislation covered by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and company policies regarding the same. This role involves developing training programs to educate management and the People team on EEO risks and adherence to company policies and core values. The specialist will collaborate with legal counsel, track trends, assist in drafting and reviewing employment documents, and support risk mitigation efforts. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze data, maintain confidentiality, and foster professional relationships. This role also promotes the use of a wide array of employee benefit programs while supporting department leadership with additional tasks as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, provide guidance to relevant stakeholders on statutory compliance pertaining to EEO legislation and Company policy related to employment and conduct.
  • Help develop training to educate the People team, management or other stakeholders about the Company's approach given employment law risks based on current regulations, internal metrics, company policies, procedures, and adherence to core values.
  • Partner with internal legal counsel and stay abreast of any new laws that impact the Company’s employment law compliance.
  • Assist in drafting or reviewing employment documents ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication, problem solving, analytical skills, conflict resolution skills and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Conduct trend analysis and assist in the tracking and reporting of department metrics.
  • Model professional behavior and remains tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations.
  • Foster and promote the use of all employee benefits and services, including health and wellness programs, Dispute Resolution Program, Code of Business Conduct, and the like.
  • Always maintain confidentiality, unless otherwise required by law.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Undertake other tasks as directed by department leadership and supervisors.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, legal studies, or a related field and 2-3 years of work experience in employment law, employee relations, or HR compliance, or a combination of education and/or relevant work experience totaling 7 or more years.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
  • Currently enlisted in the U.S. military and actively participating in the SkillBridge Program.
