Real Estate Underwriter (Experience with Credit Analysis)

Work Arrangement: Fully remote, must be available 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET (New York Time).

Job Type: Full-time, Independent Contractor.

Salary Range: based on experience, with potential performance-based bonuses.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.

Locations: Remote, open to candidates who can work EST hours.

Role Overview

As a Real Estate Underwriter, you will conduct financial analysis, risk assessment, and deal structuring. Responsibilities include evaluating and underwriting commercial real estate transactions, managing the deal pipeline, preparing financial models, and conducting market research. You will collaborate with lenders and internal teams to support capital deployment and investment decisions.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling, risk assessment, and credit analysis skills.
• Expert proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Credit Analysis and Capital Advisory
• Experience with CoStar, HubSpot, and CRM systems.
• Familiarity with private credit, distressed assets, or alternative financing.
• Prior experience with lenders, investment firms, or private equity.
