Job Description

We’re seeking a creative and organized Social Media Assistant to join our gardening-focused digital team on a part-time basis. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our content distribution strategy, managing and scheduling our vast library of gardening articles across multiple social media platforms. You’ll work with cutting-edge social media tools to ensure our evergreen and fresh content reaches our audience at optimal times, maximizing engagement and growth. This position offers a unique blend of technical skill and creative flair, as you’ll be responsible for maintaining our brand voice while adapting content for different social media landscapes. Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the setup and management of our social media scheduling ecosystem, with a focus on tools like Socialbee, Tailwind, and Buffer
  • Curate and schedule content across our primary platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, ensuring a consistent and engaging social media presence
  • Organize and repurpose our extensive library of 2,000+ articles, creating a systematic approach to content redistribution
  • Monitor social media engagement, fostering community interaction and growth
  • Assist in developing strategies for potential expansion into TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
  • Collaborate on basic administrative tasks to support overall content management and distribution
  • Analyze social media performance metrics to inform and improve content strategy
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in social media management, preferably in a content-rich environment
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling tools, with a preference for Socialbee experience (though we’re open to expertise in similar platforms)
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a talent for managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to adapt tone for various platforms
  • Basic understanding of gardening topics or a genuine enthusiasm to learn about the subject
  • Creativity in repurposing content for different social media formats
  • Analytical mindset to interpret social media metrics and suggest improvements
  • Comfortable with the potential for expanded responsibilities as our social media presence grows
