“A Day in the Life”

Do you like working in a fast-paced environment; enjoy growing revenue growth, helping others, and have a passion for process improvement? If so, Mobile Modular is currently searching for a Manager of Strategic Services.  In this role, you will work closely with local Sales and Operations teams to support higher levels of rental-related services and site-related construction activities. The primary responsibility of this role will be to support organization wide profitable adoption and growth of re-rent, site related and other ancillary services offerings related to modular buildings. This role will help develop the training, vendor partners and processes to support our local branches in expanding the scope of work of the transactions we are taking on. 

 

“What You’ll Do”

  • Champion Strategic Services initiative within the organization, develop long-term growth plans and profitability goals. 
  • Analyze and recommend focus and strategy based on emerging industry trends.
  • Identify and prioritize poorly performing Strategic Services areas and collaboratively create and implement a plan to improve performance.
  • Develop training and tools for sales representatives and project managers to allow them to confidently quote and improve their technical skills.
  • Act as a technical advisor for Strategic Services offerings to sales representatives, project managers, and clients and their respective representatives (contractors, architects, etc.).
  • Help identify and pre-qualify national vendors and sub-contractors to perform re-rent services and on-site construction work; regularly review performance and ensure service agreement terms are met.
  • Ensure access to support for review of contract documents, bid documents and specifications and offer clarifications and exclusions relative to Strategic Services to ensure clear definition of scope and responsibilities of each party in order to protect and maximize profitability.

 

“Must Haves”

  • At least 5 years of formal leadership education or training and experience in Construction Management or related field.
  • Skilled at rallying others to deliver on objectives.
  • Able to create alignment across multiple departments and regions.
  • Strong driver of revenue growth.
  • Construction industry related project management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently & creatively with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with field concepts, practices & procedures including safety.
  • Skilled at negotiation with customers & vendors.
  • Excellent business verbal/written communication skills
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Knowledge of modular building products preferred.

Some local travel to branch locations, up to 40%.
