Job description

This is a contract position for those based in Brazil. The Initial contract is for 6 months, with strong potential for extension.

The Role

NearForm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our team of consultants. In this role, you will work directly with clients on diverse and impactful projects, leveraging your deep understanding of front-end development. If you have a passion for building innovative applications and a track record of delivering complex solutions in a client-facing environment, we want to hear from you.

What you will do:

  • Supporting component design, development, and maintenance and taking responsibility for personal technical quality standards within the project team;
  • Assisting with defining structured practices, especially in source code management, building and deployment;
  • Designing and implementing data storage solutions;
  • Implementing security and data protection;
  • Optimising performance in applications for maximum speed and scalability;
  • Using appropriate tools to maintain version control and build processes;
  • Getting feedback from users and clients, and building solutions for them;
  • Assisting with the analysis of client requirements;
  • Working with and supporting Technical Leaders in project execution and timely delivery;
  • Collaborating with internal and client teams.

What we are looking for:

  • Proficient communication in English (oral and written) and excellent communication skills;
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering in a high-quality agile environment;
  • 5+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, Typescript, and Frontend frameworks such as React and Vue.js;
  • Familiarity with Redux, MobX, Vuex, or equivalent state management libraries;
  • Experience with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Material-UI, Tailwind CSS;
  • Experience with modern front-end build systems (Webpack, Vite, Babel, Rollup);
  • Hands-on experience with unit, integration, and E2E testing (Jest, Cypress, Mocha, etc.);
  • Ability to work closely with designers and contribute to UI/UX discussions;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Application Process

1. A Video Interview with someone from the recruitment team (30 mins approx.) to introduce to you Nearform and the role, and to make sure your experience is relevant for the position.
2. An assessment with a member of the hiring team (1 hr approx.), this session is carried out using a screen share. You will be given a challenge and asked to provide a working solution to a specified problem.
3. A Hiring Manager Interview with a member from our Leadership team (1 hr approx.) which allows us to gain a better insight into what interests you, and your technical background, and give you an overview of the work we do at Nearform.
