What are we looking for in a Psychiatric Provider?
Psychiatric Practitioners at Comprehensive are part of a multidisciplinary team that provides integrated behavioral health treatment to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This position is part of our Crossroads team in Sunnyside. Crossroads is a sixteen-bed transitional facility that serves adult residents with chronic or acute mental illness. Goals of the program include maintaining control over psychiatric symptoms, providing education to enhance activities of daily living, facilitating participation in mental health treatment and rehabilitation, and creating a safe environment for the recovery process.
This position offers telehealth services and is open to fully remote work for MD and DO candidates. We will also consider PA or FNP candidates, although this role will require in-person presence at our Sunnyside location. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week and is not eligible for most employee benefits.
Psychiatric Provider duties may include:
- completing initial psychiatric evaluations and assessing mental health & physical health status at routine appointments
- prescribing & monitoring psychotropic medications and educating clients & their support system about the medication’s purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effects
- collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
- educating staff, clients, and other community partners about individual mental health needs
- following trauma-informed principles in all aspects of client care
- assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
- completing all documentation & charting in a timely, client-centered manner
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with psychiatric mental health specialization
- Controlled Substance Registration certificate, or WA State Pharmacist license and Federal DEA Controlled Substance
- Washington (WA) State Advanced Registered Nurse (RN) Practitioner license Will consider board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with 15+ years of experience.
- WA State RN license; Psychiatric Nursing Board Certification and Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Registration certificate; or WA State Physician Assistant license and Federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration certificate
Salary Range DOQ:
Physician Assistant: $64,303.20-$80,379.00
Nurse Practitioner: $80,340.00-$100,425.00
Psychiatrist (MD, DO): $134,160.00-$167,700.00
