We are seeking a highly organized Operations Manager to oversee permitting, streamline operations, and coordinate key tasks to ensure smooth project execution. This role will serve as the central hub between clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and city planning departments to keep projects on track.
Responsibilities:
Permit Management: Oversee permit applications, ensure compliance with city regulations, and expedite approvals.
Project Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and city planning departments.
Operations Oversight: Manage and streamline day-to-day business operations, ensuring projects move efficiently.
Workflow Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency in permitting and project tracking.
Blueprint & Engineering Coordination: Oversee floor plan development, engineering plans, and blueprint submittals.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, city officials, and internal teams.
Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Assist with cost management and ensure projects stay within budget.
Project Tracking: Monitor the progress of multiple projects, maintaining organized records of documents, communications, and updates.
Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Identify potential delays in permits or project execution and develop solutions to keep everything on schedule.
Team Leadership: Build and manage a team as the company scales.
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years in operations management, construction administration, permitting, or a similar role.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of permit processing, blueprint reading, and local building regulations (ADU experience is a plus).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Ability to track and manage 10-20 permits simultaneously while maintaining efficiency.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools.
Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset to identify bottlenecks and improve processes.
Leadership: Ability to take ownership of tasks and build a team as the company grows.
