Job description

JOB OVERVIEW

The Illinois Project Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day activities for the project management of solar photovoltaic projects developed by ForeFront Power. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing contract and document management, accounting, and technical support, and a variety of administrative support duties for the Behind-the-Meter and Community Solar project development and sales team.


This is an hourly, part-time, temporary position not eligible for benefits working approximately 20 hours/week.


JOB LOCATION AND REPORTING TO

This position will be remote, but preference will be given to candidates located in the state of Illinois. The Illinois Project Coordinator reports to Senior Associate, Market Development and works closely with the sales and development teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create purchase orders and work orders for subcontractors and provide accounts payable-related support as needed.
  • Manage document control for projects including reports, plans, specifications, requests for information, and submittals.
  • Coordinate and support the interrelated activities of the Sales, Project Finance, Legal, Project Development, Design and Engineering, and Asset Management.
  • Utilize the company’s designated accounting platform to manage project accounting and cost control.
  • Submit and manage utility interconnection applications and coordinate financial security obligations.
  • Assist with mailers to landowners in various states with ongoing community solar land campaigns.
  • Generate marketing list targets for IL BTM and CS opportunities.
  • Oversee auditing of EPC compliance with Inflation Reduction Act requirements for prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements, including auditing documentation of EPC compliance to support ITC basis.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • This is an entry-level, part-time position. No prior experience is required.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in the renewable energy industry; solar PV project development and/or construction preferred.
  • Experience in auditing EPC payroll certifications for Federal Bacon-Davis, IRA PWA, or similar program is a strong plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Capability to document and report project status accurately.
  • Motivated self-starter, good team player and ability to lead by example.
  • Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint applications.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is primarily sedentary in nature and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk in front of a computer. There may be limited travel to job sites in Illinois.
