Expected Salary Range: $80,557 -- $98,459
*The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

As a Property Claims Representative III, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation, and resolution of complex Personal, Commercial and Farm Property Claims. You will contribute to our client service culture through daily interactions and by implementing innovative, client-centric solutions. 

 

How you will create impact:
  • Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and settling very large and complex property claims for Personal, Commercial and Farm Policies.
  • Reviewing and interpreting legal documents, including statement of claims, affidavits, and expert reports, and developing actionable strategies for case resolution.
  • Collaborating with legal counsel, experts and mediators to defend and facilitate third party loss settlements.
  • Supporting your team through coaching and mentoring conversations.
  • Providing exceptional client and claimant service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.

To join our team:
  • You have five years of residential and/or commercial adjusting experience. You have experience handling liability and total loss property claims.
  • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • You have a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) for the Atlantic provinces.
  • You have knowledge of property policy wordings, regulations, and construction practices.

 

What you need to know:
  • You will travel occasionally.
  • You are required have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.  
  • Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events.   
  • This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
  • Potential exposure to conditions that require health and safety protection, such as chemicals, noise, dust and debris. 
  • You will be subject to a Background check as a condition of employment, in the event you are the successful candidate.
