Are you a seasoned collections professional with a knack for managing high-volume accounts across multiple entities in a global landscape? Transnetyx is seeking a driven Senior Collections Specialist to join our Finance team and be a key player in maintaining financial stability while fostering positive customer relationships worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to manage complex collections across diverse business units, making a significant impact on our global operations.

Location: Our headquarters is located in Memphis, Tennessee.  Although this position is a fully remote optional position. 

 

 

The Role (Essential Functions and Duties)

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY TO DAY 

  • Prepare and monitor accounts receivable aging and other reports to ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date collection notes and customer interactions in JIRA.
  • Generate customer statements, late fee invoices, and other collection-related communications.
  • Research billing disputes, reconcile accounts, and respond to customer inquiries according to agreed-upon SLAs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments, including Finance, Sales, and Customer Support, teams to address disputes and process necessary account adjustments.
  • Consult with legal team on delinquent accounts requiring further action.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients, balancing firm collection efforts with maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Finance Department

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING (Qualifications)

EDUCATION:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred but not required.
  • In place of a four-year bachelor's degree:
    • 3–5 years of experience in high-volume collections (i.e., managing 200+ accounts, working in a shared services or centralized AR department).
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and collections software.
  • In place of a two-year associate degree:
    • 5–7 years of high-volume collections experience, a regulated industry preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of payment terms, dispute resolution, and compliance regulations related to collections.
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and customer service.
    • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and collections software.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume collections environment

NetSuite Experience is highly preferred.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and an ERP system (NetSuite is highly preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to establish cross-departmental working relationships

 

Physical Demands:

This position may experience prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and work on a computer. Other physical demands may include but are not limited to walking, standing, stooping, reaching. And may lift up to 15lbs at times.
