As the Business Escrow Services Senior Director - Operations, you will be a critical part of a fast-growing team expanding the Business Escrow Services team nationwide. You will manage directly or indirectly all non-client facing teams overseeing all operational day-to-day processes which include but are not limited to the following operations of Business Escrow ServicesResponsible for executing the Bank’s strategic plan, with specific focus on supporting the escrow team to grow their portfolio.
Responsible for executing the business escrow services team vision and goals, development plans and management of all tracking related to all initiatives
Responsible for day-to-day decision making
Works closely with Managing Director to take strategic goals and implement structure and process around development, technology, new verticals and overall execution of all operational aspects of business escrow services
Work closely with your peers (Relationship Management client facing) to execute the BES strategy
Responsible for overseeing potential new verticals with critical design elements and decisions related to the manner of execution and overall facilitation of the design.
Manage the managers of the team and empower them to lead the indirect reports towards the targets and goals established by the business
Responsible for overall KPI and analytics tracking for the business and the management of the team currently tracking and providing monthly, quarterly reporting to Western Alliance Bank executive
Responsible for overseeing any integration of new territories – training, engagement – overall execution and associated cost center management
Manage and develop a team of highly skilled leaders within Business Escrow Services
Management of teams responsible for the processes above
Responsible for managing budget associated with all direct and indirect lines
May be responsible for engagement with properties related to office requirements, expansions or new lease contracts
Manages the compliance and audit functionality and participates and ensures compliance and audit execution is meeting bank expectations
Responsible for reviewing processes and operations to determine efficacy and increase efficiency across the operational aspects of the business line.
What you'll need:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, other relevant field from a four-year college or university required or relevant work experience in escrow and payment services
10+ years in Escrow and Payment
Minimum of 3 years management experience of various teams within the escrow and payment (RA, Technology, Middle office, Product)
Expert knowledge of paying agent and escrow post-closing functions
Expert in balancing, working with excel
Relationship Management experience and in-depth knowledge of the client facing aspects of Business Escrow Services
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and data mining/gathering. Advanced knowledge of cap tables, tax related to M&A, paying agent, pre closing solicitation, employee compensation payments, vesting schedules etc.
Advanced understanding of financial markets and trends specifically M&A
Expert in communication and actively managing transitions.
Must be detailed oriented and adhere to time-sensitive tasks
Expertise in making decisions with impact to the overall business line
Expert knowledge in the general risk practices and mitigation factors associated with all operational aspects of paying agent and escrow services
