Overview:

IDC is looking for a collaborative and strategic Director, Content Marketing to lead content initiatives that amplify our brand narrative, drive engagement, and fuel demand across diverse audiences.


As a key member of our global corporate marketing team, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with the buyer's journey, showcases customer wins, and strengthens our brand presence. You’ll thrive in a highly cross-functional role with your ability to transform inputs such as audience insights, product messaging, business goals, and performance data into impactful, actionable strategies. An exceptional storyteller and strong project manager, you’ll lead a team of content marketers plus tap into outside resources and modern AI-based techniques to produce creative and authentic assets at scale.

This position may be fully remote in an approved location in the United States.  In Canada, this role will be located in our Toronto Office with a hybrid work schedule where anyone in the GTA will be required to come into the office 1 day a week. We will consider candidates located in Ontario, BC, Alberta or Nova Scotia with a 100% remote work from home schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a content strategy that supports both brand awareness and demand generation, ensuring alignment with the buying journey and market trends.
  • Drive creation of high-quality, diverse content types, such as blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, case studies, videos, and digital materials that target our ICPs and drive full-funnel engagement.
  • Oversee a content calendar and editorial review process that aligns with key company initiatives and ensures consistency of voice and messaging.
  • Oversee social media programs that enhance brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Utilize AI-based tools and methodologies to scale and accelerate content creation processes, ensuring credibility and brand authenticity.
  • Collaborate with performance and product marketing teams, sales, and IDC's research community to ensure strategic alignment and cohesive messaging.
  • Refine and measure KPIs to assess content effectiveness and optimize engagement.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in content marketing, with a track record of driving successful strategies for B2B audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 
  • Experience in technology, market research, or data industries is ideal.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of brand voice.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI to craft, scale, and optimize content planning and creation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and positively influence cross-functional teams, ensuring quality work gets done in a timely manner.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to drive alignment with senior leaders, industry influencers, and customers.
  • Passion for leading and mentoring teams, as well as experience managing relationships with external agencies, contractors, or freelancers.

At IDC we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $140,000 USD and $175,000 USD and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).

 

Compensation for IDC Canada will be determined based on current market data for CAD dollars.
