Corporate Tax Manager

The Global Tax team is seeking a dedicated tax professional who will play a hands-on role in a growing tax function. As Reddit continues to mature as a public company, this person will play a critical role in our day-to-day tax operations and will support our global tax reporting and compliance process. This position will report to the Tax Director.

 Responsibilities:

• Responsible for our global income tax and indirect tax compliance obligations to ensure accurate and timely filings in over a dozen countries
• Responsible for the preparation of our quarterly and annual tax provisions, memos, and related disclosures under ASC 740
• Support our monthly accounting close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage internal controls / SOX framework for our tax accounts and processes
• Support our international accounting team on statutory filings and assist in global transfer pricing policy and documentation process
• Manage annual U.S. and foreign R&D credit studies
• Support M&A activities including assistance with tax due diligence and purchase accounting
• Manage direct and indirect tax audits and respond to notices
• Assist with tax planning projects, income tax forecasting, and process improvements/tax automation
• Monitor changes in global tax legislation and policies to ensure income tax impact is properly considered
• Work closely with business partners on ad hoc projects and to address tax related questions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, masters in Tax preferred
• CPA required (Active or Inactive)
• 6+ years of corporate tax experience with at least 3 years of public accounting experience
• Strong technical skills in tax compliance and provision
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP & SEC reporting requirements in area of taxation
• Experience working with NetSuite and Onesource Tax Provision is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides) required
• Able to work independently under time pressure, prioritize a high workload, and meet strict deadlines
• Possess excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams in a remote environment
• Team player with a positive attitude and open mindset, not afraid to roll up your sleeves and work in a dynamic environment
