We’re looking for a Senior WMS Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Warehouse Management Solutions (WMS), driving technology initiatives and resolving IT challenges.
Position Title: Senior WMS Engineer
Location: Remote - LATAM
What you will be doing:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior WMS Engineer to join our team and design, develop, and implement Warehouse Management Solutions (WMS) in response to client requests. In this role, you will handle the full lifecycle of solution delivery, from quotation, design, development, and testing, to deployment. You will also support and maintain the WMS and related applications, ensuring efficient operations and proactive issue resolution. Your expertise will drive technology initiatives, help define system workflow processes, and support complex IT problem-solving. Your responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and implement warehouse management solutions as a direct response to requests received from the CEVA client/site. This includes completing, at a senior level, the quotation, design, development, test, and deployment activities.
Support run & maintain activities for the Warehouse Management System and related applications. To analyze and solve complex IT issues and to take a proactive approach to prevent issues from happening.
Drive new technology initiatives from idea to implementation; Establish and define system workflow processes to meet requirements; identify and define necessary elements to achieve clients’ needs.
Support, manage, and develop relations with the project team and customers.
Work closely with the Premium Products teams to ensure that you have a full understanding of what is available in the products and to also to provide input into the products roadmap by presenting client’s needs.
Respond to unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations professionally. To determine the root cause and resolve the broad range of common system or application problems.
Requirements & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Education & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience5+ years’ experience with complex IT solutions in an international company
2+ years’ experience as an application specialist in the supply chain domain (desirable Warehouse Management Systems)
Experience working in virtual teams
Experience with solution design for quotation processes
Strong JDA Dispatcher WMS skills
Solid knowledge of RDBMS
Strong Oracle PL/SQL skills
Familiar with Linux shell scripting
Familiar with architectural patterns
Strong in analyzing and designing program logic, screen layouts, reports, and testing criteria to support the development of new or enhanced systems
Excellent Knowledge of application management principles
Solid understanding of production support processes
Familiar with Release Cycles and Deployment processes
Familiar with Integration concepts (B2B and EAI)
Ability to assess the risk and impact of any change
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, ability to handle multiple complex problems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to work on own initiative and creative mindset
Good team working skills; keen to share knowledge with others
