About the Role:

As a CMS Information/Systems Engineer supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to build out a new Customer Management System (CMS) and migrate content into the new system. The CMS Systems Engineer will provide technological leadership, with skills sets including LAMP stack, Tomcat, Solr, PHP, SQL database management, and Ansible, while managing one junior team member. This role will support existing client tools and apps, including 2 home-grown CMSs, while strengthening the client’s ability to serve through new tools and best practices in accessibility.  You will be responsible for updating web page content, maintaining data feeds, enhancing PMR, performing QC, and using Google Analytics through Wordpress and Drupal.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Provide senior guidance, recommendations, and planning for other FTEs
  • Design new systems and/or adoption of new tools to help the client meet their goals
  • Build new CMS tools that seamlessly integrate into the client’s workflow, migrating content into the new system with the support of one junior team member
  • Clearly communicate timelines and expectations to the client and/or project manager
  • Maintain senior developer responsibilities
  • Responsible for regularly updating the client’s website with content that meets all accessibility requirements
  • Manage file sharing, distribution, dissemination and retention requirements

You will work as part of a dynamic team primarily remotely.

Required Experience/Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of professional experience in IT quality assurance for a government agency
  • Wordpress and Drupal experience.
  • Quality Assurance and Control; Experience in unit, system, integration and automation testing
  • Google Analytics
  • Experience with LAMP stack, Tomcat, Solr, PHP, SQL database management, Ansible
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability

Preferred Experience/Skills: 

  • CMS Migration planning experience

Salary:

Approximate Salary Estimate: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually
