Job Description

This position is only open to candidates currently pursuing their associates degree from a community college or trade school. Those currently pursuing their bachelors degree or higher will not be considered for this role.

Early Career Apprentice Program:

Want to work in your field and train on the job? Join our 12–24-month apprentice program! You will earn and learn on the job, receive career guidance and mentorship, all while attending school. Allstate will also provide tuition assistance and hands-on training in the field of public affairs and government relations.

Law & Regulation – Public Affairs/Government & Industry Relations Project Coordinator Apprentice:

Your 12- to 24-month program will expose you to projects that have an impact across Allstate’s Political Advocacy and Government & Industry Relations (GIR) teams. Through hands-on work, you will gain valuable experience in campaign finance, advocacy programming, and compliance operations. Apprenticeship Role:

    Our apprentice program is designed to prepare you for future careers in political advocacy, government relations, and corporate public affairs at Allstate.
     

Location: Remote (Preference for candidates located in Chicago, Washington, D.C., or Charlotte)
 

Start date: August 2025
 

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Political Science, Public Affairs, Business Administration, Communications, or other relevant fields.

  • Candidates selected for prescreening will be required to submit an unofficial transcript.
     

Work Authorization:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
     

Core Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage compliance-related tasks.

  • Excellent finance, accounting, and/or compliance skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Multimedia and A/V media production skills (preferred).
     

Public Affairs/Government & Industry Relations Project Coordinator Apprentice Responsibilities:

As an apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting Allstate’s Political Advocacy team and Government & Industry Relations function. You’ll:

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative efforts for Allstate’s PAC and corporate contributions program, including processing check requests, database management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Assist in managing in-person and virtual advocacy programming for federal and state-level activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and key internal stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

  • Support budgeting and finance-related tasks to ensure proper allocation and tracking of funds.
