Abbott Electrophysiology (EP) is a leader in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmia with a product portfolio that covers both capital and consumables.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and passionate Field Technical Specialist to join our expanding ANZ team.
Based in Adelaide, South Australia and reporting to the Field Technical Manager , this dynamic role will require the successful applicant to be able to work closely with EP physicians in the treatment of patients with arrythmias.
With an impressive product portfolio and product pipeline you will be joining a team who are passionate about what they do and love to share their knowledge and work to develop their peers through coaching and training. You will love being part of the broader ANZ team.
Your responsibilities include (and not limited to):
To achieve EP certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to attend and support EP sessions independently
To achieve 3D mapping certification by undertaking and completing a thorough in-house training program to allow you to support 3D mapping cases independently and recording system.
Achieve sales targets and increase market share for your assigned territory through building strong relationships with key customers and providing high quality clinical service and support
Actively implement and execute on sales force effectiveness initiatives to help drive business growth, develop sales skills, including strategic and account territory planning, customer profiles and sales training
Manage your consignment stock
Maintain up to date product knowledge and actively participate in education programs
Assist with product marketing and launches
Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity
Conduct education/training to hospital staff on products and technology with the ability to do so at an advanced level
Provide training, support and mentorship to internal staff and colleagues and have the ability to do so at an advanced level
Who we’re looking for:

Tertiary qualifications in biomedical / engineering / medical science / human movement / business degree or related field (Coronary Care Nursing/Cardiac Technician) essential
Good understanding of the industry process and function would be an advantage
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with ability to influence and negotiate with customers and experts
Flexibility to travel interstate.
