Channel Impact is seeking an Event Project Manager to join our events team. In this role, You will lead the design and execution of select zones and activations in the interactive learning area, as well as select sessions being delivered at our client’s annual sales kick off.


This is a full-time, position with benefits, for a remote worker within the US.


What you will be doing:

Pre-Event

  • Assume full responsibility and accountability for successful on-time planning and execution of assigned sessions and learning area(s)
  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Serve as the primary Core Planning Team point of contact to content owners to drive quality development and on-time execution of assigned content
  • Communicate and support processes, deliverables, and timelines to ensure content and design align to overall learning and experience objectives and program priorities
  • Drive integration of critical content priorities and key focus areas to ensure consistent and relevant messaging aligned to strategic business priorities
  • Drive adoption and use of event tools and resources to drive consistency, and deliver high quality results (Resource Central, Exhibitor Resource Center (ERC), Session Builder Tool (SBT), website, media toolkits, and brand assets)
  • Serve as liaison between stakeholders, the Core Planning team and creative partners to identify, communicate, and coordinate requirements for assigned sessions and learning areas
  • Facilitate bi-weekly touchpoints with Stakeholders to instruct, reinforce and/or clarify processes, strategies, and design
  • Ensure on-time completion of Stakeholder deliverables
  • Manage speaker and learning area staffing requirements and processes in accordance with the sales kickoff attendance criteria and guidelines
  • Communicate program goals and milestones necessary for event execution
  • Facilitate and/or participate in storyboards, Content, and learning area reviews with Executive Sponsors and content teams to ensure readiness for onsite execution
  • Attend all CP-sponsored meetings including Core Team Meetings, Global Content Production Calls, Breakout Workshops and tutorials, content reviews, and pre-production calls
  • Assist with additional special projects as needed


On-site

  • Primary point of contact and support for business partners and stakeholders throughout the event
  • Work closely with Event Producers to adhere to production schedule
  • Review all printed graphics for accuracy
  • Assist learning area Staff in assigned learning areas with technology, scanning, etc.
  • Review learning area goals and operations with Brand Ambassadors
  • Support rehearsals for assigned sessions
  • Attend assigned sessions where possible to review execution and delivery of session content, and collect feedback for debrief input


Post-event

  • Schedule and facilitate post-event debrief sessions as needed with Stakeholders; provide a summary of findings and recommendations to Client team
  • Manage post-production editorial for all assigned sessions
  • Provide input and/or assistance in final Program Plan documentation
  • Review post-event survey results and verbatims and formulate recommendations


What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology industry and event management (Required)
  • Ability to manage complex event programs
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent project management skills and passion for quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to lead meetings with peers and leadership teams
  • Ability to collaborate across functional groups
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, prioritize them and manage time, teammates, and peers effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn and implement new processes and/or internal (custom) tools such as SharePoint and Smartsheet
  • Able to articulate and support program objectives and strategies while driving day-to-day activities
  • Ability to travel 10-15%
